The Joker...
The design although similar to Miller and Janson's depiction, shows a lot of influence from the art of Patrick Nagel. I do not necessarily see a problem with the Joker being presented in this fashion because it certainly adds to the overall 80's aesthetic of the piece. I oddly found it interesting that the vocal performance had a slight tinge of Paul Lynde to it. It kind of made me wonder how Lynde would have fit into a 66 style Batman version of the Joker.
The two parts put together certainly rank high among my favorite Batman screen presentations. And, it's a fairly faithful adaptation of the source material (even if there were a few liberties taken).
