Is this supposed to be a comedy? May be mis-filed..
Or a horror?
Again- misfiled..
This is a comedy/horror movie. What are you saying?
shareKind of that-
It's not funny and
Not scary...
A lot of low budget comedy/horrors are like that from the UK to us Americans. You have to watch a few and it will grow on you.
shareComedy as in campy even if you don't find it funny yourself. It doesn't take itself seriously. Pumping a dudes head till it explodes isn't your typical horror movie. Its supposed to be fun. And its horror because its a clown back from the dead killing people.
shareAh here. It was good enough. I laughed at a few bits. These are sometimes my favourite to watch. Bloody, weird but ok in whole. Plus it filmed in Ireland.
sharehow can you not find it funny
everybody happy
The thing is it actually tried (and failed) to deliver a dreaded feeling and some scares (around an ancient cult of cheaply dressed clowns, no less) at the very beginning, but then takes a sharp detour into what they must believe it's dark humour, and... yeah, it feels disjointed. I am glad I didn't change channels five minutes into it, but I wouldn't be surprised if many people missed the not-so-bad parts because of the poor, oh so very poor introduction.
I give it a four - there's some good ideas here and there (Richie's death and the penis daydream, the fierce gay friend, "weeeeeeeeeee", Sarah's high heels of pain, and the friendship between the leads), but as a whole it's mediocre at best. Points for trying, I guess? It showed that the crew had a lot of fun filming this one.
