Don't be fooled, this movie is terrible.

Completely predictable and made for morons. I laughed my butt off the whole time. Worst cast choice for a Daughter of The Rock and Carla Gugino...should have been someone of a mixed race, not one whiter than the both of them. She's a pretty girl, but mis-cast as the daughter.

Parts of this movie ripped off Taken. Parts of if ripped off Man of Steel.

Did anyone buy the chemistry between The Rock and Gugino? No.

Did anyone buy the chemistry between the daughter and the gay British guy? No.

Giamatti was great, as he always is, but he phoned it in and took a paycheck like the rest. The guy deserves better than this, and so does Gugino. But, they probably bought new yachts with this money. The Rock was perfectly cast, because, well, this is the kind of schlock we expect to see him in.

There was no logical sense of time between the places they traveled. It would have taken them about 6-7 hours in normal circumstances to get from L.A. to San Francisco, they made it seem like moment. What about from Vegas to Caltech? So terrible, just like Godzilla.

Don't go into a viewing expecting much. In fact, expect to feel a little dumber as they condescendingly explain every little thing to you.

The only "fault" in this film is by the guy that green light this junk.
