Yep, and then in 10-15 years it will slowly rise back up to a 6.5, when nostalgia starts to affect the ratings.

I would say however that increase of number of votes will make it lower, as the first wave will be fans of his work that will buy it instantly and vote it to the max, later more regular viewers will see it and will be less fanatical about it, so the rating will decrease.
This is the reason majority of movies drop within the first year.
