Rolfe has already reviewed this movie

Ok, I am not completely serious, but it's interesting to note the parallels.

What am I talking about?

Well, remember the movie review he did about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III?

I think now the light bulbs are appearing. Yes, it's almost as if he's talking about this movie at least for some of the time. Some of the criticism fits this movie, INCLUDING the notorious "falling-and-imploding-clumsily" bit!

So did he just FORGET his own review of that movie, and just included that kind of mistake in this movie anyway? Did he think it was going to be funny? He had a chance to show his professional side, and instead, he just repeats a mistake that he mercilessly flaunted another movie for!

For what? For laughs? I mean, WHAT WAS _HE_ THINKING?

(I think we need an Angry AVGN Nerd to review his bad stuff, like this movie)

And how about the part where there are characters in the movie that have NOTHING to do with the TV show, although the TV show would have offered plenty of good material to choose from! Interesting parallels, aren't they?

The bit where the Turtles are suddenly in ancient japan, robbing them from the possibilities that would otherwise been available - not only was it nonsensical, but it was clearly deemed 'cool' and appropriate (ninjas + old japan MUST be a cool combo), although it really just changed the environment into something where the turtles don't belong.

The same can be said about the desert and the other places where we see the AVGN in the movie - it would have been better, if his apartment and the video games were featured more, instead of the insides of a VAN and a boring desert, someone else's house and Area 51!

Anyway, I just thought it was funny, how some of that criticism can be used as criticism against THIS movie, almost verbatim.

Someone else might be interested into digging deeper into this and find more parallels, I just wanted to give IMDb readers this idea.

Actually i can't think of anything in the world fitting into this movie more than a dry, lifeless desert x)

That was pretty much just for the fans. I'm guessing he just thought, "well, I'm having a character fall over the edge, I guess I'll made the fall implode just as a nod to those who watch the TMNT III review." As a long time fan of the nerd, and appreciater of past references, I actually found this very funny.

The water imploding reference was actually kinda funny. But agreed about AVGN being somewhere completely out of place for his character the whole film, like the van, the desert, and Area 51. He's better in front of a TV on a couch.
