AVGN popularity the lowest it has been since 2007

I did a google trend search and his search analytic is just 7/100. That is some great fall . His popularity peaked in August of 2008 and has been going down dramatically ever since. What happened? I did a search of his videos and the video for August of 2008 was that fan scripted video for Deadly Towers. Other than that the series has been heading consistently down since season 4 which had 22 episodes and season 5 which had 14.

I think what has happened is that the updates are too irregular and because of this fans have moved on.

Well that's obvious. Less content means lower numbers. He's not going to go back to the one episodes every two weeks format because he's not contractually obligated to do so anymore and with having a child now the amount of hours he puts into them in a day isn't going to be as much as before. That's life.

I think there's also a bit of generation gap, what "the kids" love today are LPers like PewDiePie.

James Rolfe comes from an older generation of web videos.
