the only good stuff i can PA 4:

1) the pacing here is better than in the third movie. in PA 3, it was completely mishandled, like half of the time there was nothing happening. just random shots of nothing. at least in PA 4 we did hear footsteps or bangs (even if they did lead to s****y jump scares)
2) the acting's alright, like every other Paranormal Activity movie. not like in the first 2 movies, but at least the actors did their jobs well. and the main girl was pretty hot.
3) the effects are impressive, like usual.

other than that: this, PA 3 and PA: The Marked Ones were nothing but dull, boring, s****y and pretentious wastes of time. i really hope the fifth movie can be anything like the first or second movie.

The pacing is garbage in all of them. None are better or worse. It's always an hour of doors opening or closing, thumps heard, objects moving or shadows seen. Then the remainder ends up with people getting dragged here or there, or flung someplace, females over reacting, and the final 30 seconds they show something that we haven't seen all film. Rinse and repeat. I just watched the first 4 in a row. I will not make that mistake again.

This movie is better the second time around, but still my least favorite of the series. It was rather confusing and didn't make lots of sense with the adoption and Hunter/Robbie stuff but maybe they'll explain more in the next ones and I'll like it more.
