am I the only one who loves all 4?

I mean me and my friends have went to all 4 together and we all keep loving them but I come on here and (as usual with imdb) everyone is a hater. Now I don't get scared or startled by films, never have, it is not why I go to horror films. I love every main guy in each film, they are hilarious. The camera angles and atmosphere is real clever and fun. I really feel like films in general now a days walk into everything with any hype wanting to hate it, especially horror movies and Most especially horror sequels. The saw sequels are great fun and they are mostly hated. I mean they make mass amounts of money but that doesn't mean it is well recieved. I am just curious if there are any none haters left on this site, doubt it.

Count me in, I have enjoyed all 4, they actually do give me the creeps a little, but regardless of that I have loved them all, even 4, which everyone seems to hate. I recently watched all 4 over a two night period and really enjoyed them, number 3 is probably my favourite, love all the characters in that. I think all the films have had good characters and i agree the main guys have all been pretty hilarious.

The thing I love is the set up of things makes it all seem so natural and also it doesn't go too over the top for me, I recently watched a couple of other paranormal/supernatural type films about demons and ghosts and all of them ended up going over the top by the end, but the paranormal activity series I love, probably my favourite horror films.

Thank you for that. I agree 3 is great. Mostly cause Dennis is so funny, and his buddy. Did you see the commercial he made for his video business on the special features section of the blu ray? Or him scaring julie? Funny stuff. The whole series has just had fun znd most people take it so serious.

I dont care what people say, all 4 movies are great

I liked all four movies, but I didn't love them. They aren't my favorite paranormal films. Some of the people on this board where overly harsh, so I hope they don't go PA 5 in Oct. 2014.

I don't love Part 2, its the only one I don't care all that much for.
But I really like Part 4, which most people seem to inexplicably hate.
Part 4 dared to put a few rarely-seen things in it: An intelligent blonde teenager, a VIRGIN intelligent blonde teenager to boot. She even had a personality!
The car scene in the garage was very clever.

The ending could have been stronger, but it chilled.

You're not alone. I think these movies are a lot of fun. I hope they make more, because I still have not had the opportunity to see one in a theater.

I like them.

It was utter Rubbish. Any steam this franchise had, has completely run out. Young virgin girl who seems to be the only one who can see something is clearly wrong cliche. Young guy who sympathises with girl but otherwise does nothing about it cliche. Ignorant and stupid mum cliche. Ignorant but likeable dad cliche. Vicious demon with incredible power, who can rend people limb from limb, spends an inordinate amount of time doing nothing but knocking books from shelves and making floors creak. Cue a few token jump scares, a kinect gimmick that's not even made use of, some pepsi product placement, and an entire hour of nothing happening before the climax starts to kick in. No real script to speak of. Characters have all the depth of a movie poster. The ending was just a daft, by the numbers wrap up. The movie was a ridiculous pile of *beep* and if you liked it, it's because you are either young and stupid, and/or have terrible taste in things, and/or lack the basic intelligence to discern when your time is being wasted by a pointless and shallow cash in.

No need to insult people... I happen to agree with you on all your points regarding this movie but I also know that different people enjoy different things...

I like them. Nice and simple movies. People will complain about anything these days. Big or small budget films. Hope they make more and more.

I really liked the main character in this one. Some of the devices that were used to move the story were just terrible though. The fact that the demon didn't try to possess anyone or force them to give up Hunter (Katie eventually gets him anyway) is bothersome. There has always been a reason for its terror. Also, that the main character ran to the house accross the street with a camcorder is just weird. It's convenient, but very weird.

However, as someone pointed out, the main character was actually very sharp. I loved the car scene, I liked her proactive attitude.

The demon did possess someone. He possessed Wyatt/Hunter.

I'm usually the type that always enjoys every movie in a series (give or take, Jason X is just trash lol). But I was severely disappointed in PA4. I love 1 and 3. 2 is better than 4. I was just very let down by it. I haven't seen it since theaters, so maybe my opinion will change. But I just felt there were more questions added to the series and nothing was answered. I loved how much Katie was featured though. That's about it.
