Does anyone know anything about the mansion of Luca's best friend? It looks historical and it's absolutely beautiful, however I can't find any information on it anywhere. It could be in Denmark, Austria, or Sweden according to locations filmed. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
There is a Herregårde (manor house) in Denmark named Benzonsdal. You can find images of it online. I believe Benzonsdal was the filming location for the character Bruun's house in "The Hunt".
Here is an address for Benzonsdal:
Allevej 60, 2635 Ishøj, Denmark
This is on Zealand, the Danish island where Copenhagen lies.
Benzonsdal dates from 1730. At that time it was the home of the Benzon family, and the name of the estate means Benzon's Valley (Dal).
It's unusual for a freestanding house to be so much deeper than wide (7 bays compared to 3). In other words, it looks as if the main door is in the side not the front. Is this common with Danish manor houses? I wonder what the reason is.
I beseech ye in the bowels of Christ, think that ye may be mistaken.
