Does it get better?

i'm about 20min into this, and it's all about Matthew Fox's sad-sack character. Does it turn into a courtroom drama? Does TLJ make a greater impact on the film than just the puppet master calling shots? I just don't care about Matt Fox's girlfriend!

The fact that this is a 2012 movie, and i never heard of it, and it's just now on Netflix/VOD/etc - can't be good, right?

What say you? Does it turn around? Or is it all about Fox's moral quandry/political career?

Thanks for the help

Yeah, it gets better and better. The ending us quite amazing, I think. Brought tears to my eyes. Something I didn't at all expect, from the beginning. I learned ah lot about Japanese honor from this film.
I didn't know about this historical meeting, and was amazed by these wise men. We need more like them!

If you still there, I have a question: Are you very busy or just f///// lazy?

reply

i was pretty busy that weekend i watched the first 20min. i haven't revisited yet because i have a long netflix/amazon queue of stuff i'd rather watch.

basically, i decided to find a semi-detailed synopsis online, and read the plot quickly. i decided it's a good movie to recommend to my parents, but probably not worth my time.

No, it's about the same all the way through.
