Fox has no charisma at all..
He is such a bland actor.

What would you have had him do in the context of conservative Japanese culture, especially considering his knowledge of that culture?

Keep in mind he was trying to persuade people friendly to the Emperor to come forward and provide him, the enemy, with information.

Hey folks,

The character Fox played was a general officer who was essentially an analyst, and I think he played the part well.
