My guess is he's probably the only one that would return due to him being the only one who survives all three endings. He'd probably have a role like Packie had in this game

He should be a boss (a mission contact), if he'd return, but I'm not sure if for story missions or just side missions.

If Franklin comes back it's not going to be as a protagonist.

I really do think Franklin and Lamar could have a cameo in GTA 6. They could mention that Michael and Trevor moved to Liberty City, mirroring real life, as both Ned Luke and Steven Ogg live in New York.

I sure do hope Trevor comes back in GTA VI. There's speculation that he will, probably not as a protagonist, though. Love him or hate him you have to admit that he's the most popular character of all three and possibly one of the most popular gaming characters of all time in recent years. There's not many characters like him. I just have a deep feeling in my bones that he'll be back. Trust me; mark my words...
