A little confusion in episode 4

So, 2/3 of the way through this episode, Robin tells Johnno that she was both sacked and made newly single.

Was she fired due to sleeping with him, or due to stabbing that guy in the bar? From what I can tell, she is a cop in Australia who visits New Zealand and consults on a case. So is she fired from that case or as a cop in general? If she is fired in general, how can her actions in NZ affect her job in Australia?

When is she made single? I didn't catch a moment where that happened. She did talk to her fiance briefly before this point, but I don't remember that being the end of their conversation.

I do like this show, but I find it so difficult to understand what they are saying through the NZ accents.

She's on loan from Australia but Robin is originally from New Zealand. Al told her after she stopped his interrogation with Jamie "I don't care what they do over there. Don't ever contradict a superior officer." That seemed to indicate although she has the same power she would in Australia, she has to play by the rules of the jurisdiction she's working in.

Steve (her fiance) gave her space to sort things out and after a while he couldn't wait anymore and called off the engagement.
