Rewatched lucky number slevin - Not sure if this has been addressed but this movie borrows (or improves) several plot beats/scenes/moments from it. Now, that being said, I really don't like LNS...like at all, and I really enjoyed the grit and the aesthetic of Dead Man Down. I'm not complaining, its a compliment to DMD since, as mentioned, the various similar elements are done better and are used in a coherent storyline in DMD. Its just funny - there's a rooftop sniper scene, there's the two opposing crime units being turned against each other by a third party seeking revenge, there's a relationship developed with two neighbors who live across from each other, etc

Like I said, Dead Man Down alllllll the way. Far better movie
