for me, flawless until the last 10 minutes

i found this somehow bizarrely believable, i was truly sucked in to the characters and their emotions...

up until the last ten minutes.

do they think they will walk into the *beep* sunset, no cops, no consequences?

and i love these movies that have the kiss after the bloody mass murder. "hey babe, i just slaughtered like 12 guys ... wanna make out?" -- "sure, i feel really good right now, really romantic, with little pieces of brain and stuff splattered all over me"

I agree that the last 10 minutes were a let down. It had gone from a gritty and tense cat and mouse story to a mass shoot out with 1 man taking on the a whole gang like Bourne or Bond - it was like they ran out of ideas.

And as for the kiss, I thought he was going to do it after they walked away. But let's face it, we all wanted them to kiss eventually, didn't we? And boy does Beatrice have a kissable mouth.

I thought the climax was brilliant. Sure, it was unrealistic but the film is like a fairy tale sort of like last years Drive.

i think the OP is pretty much right as the film was solid but did lose a bit of steam near the very end which at that point it turned into a general action film shootout.

overall though... i give it a 7/10 and out of the 18 2013 released films i have seen this is still within my top 5 currently.
