The point of the video Victor sent...

I was a little confused about Victor/Lucarik (Colin Farrell's) plan. First it seems like he's going to blow everyone up (Alphonse and his crew), including himself in their "headquarters". But than he takes a video of the head Albanian's brother incriminating Alphonse which seemed like an even better plan to have the Albanian's and Alphonse's crew kill each other, but after delivering the recording he sits and waits at the headquarters waiting to blow everyone up.

Was blowing the headquarters up a last resort in case Alphonse made it out alive? And in the last few scenes it looked like he planted bombs in Alphonse's house that he detonated later on, why didn't he just blow those up way earlier? Or did he plant those during the last scene? I thought it was a great movie regardless, I just didn't know if I missed something.

I think his plan was they would get the Albanian to see the video saying that his brother was in Alphonse's basement of his hideout. Alphonse and his crew would of already been there because that is where he is most of the time. Once the Albanians showed up Victor would of just blown up the building. Remember Victor wanted to kill them himself not let them kill each other at the time because he wanted revenge. He could of just let Alphonse die at the beginning if he just wanted him dead.

After falling in love with Beatrice however his goal at the end was no longer revenge it was saving her from them. So at that point he didn't care who killed Alphonse or the Albanians.

You must have missed quite a bit of this movie but I will explain it anyways. Alphonse hired the Albanians to kill Victor and his family. Because of this, Victor wanted to kill all of the Albanian gang as well as Alphonse and his gang. It was stated by Victor that Alphonse spent most of his time in this warehouse because he was spooked about the letters and pictures being sent to him. The plan was to have Alphonse and his gang in the warehouse, then lure the Albanians there thinking that the leaders brother was in the basement. At this point, Victor would probably reveal everything and then blow up the building killing everyone at once. Since the tape wasn't actually sent to the Albanians however, and Darcy uncovered the plot a little too early, everything got messed up so no one came to the warehouse.

Now, as far as why he didn't blow up the house earlier, simple, because he didn't put any bombs there. The bomb you see going off was very clearly shown to come from his truck, the one he drove through the wall and crashed into the basement. Again, he wanted both of these gangs dead, and he thought it would be easier to lure everyone to the warehouse rather than Alphonse's house.
