Why victor spared Darcy

shareVictor's reply was "No, Because they had you"... meaning, of course, that he was thinking less of Darcy, and more of his wife and child that would have lost a husband and father, respectively.

I guess it's a good thing that Alphonse didn't have a wife or children or else Victor might have spared him too.
At no point in the movie did I note Darcy having any problem about carrying out Alphonse's orders. Darcy brought an innocent woman to Alphonse knowing that she would likely be killed. I don't think Darcy would have had any reservations about killing Victor's wife and child. Darcy deserved the same fate as Alphonse and his crew.

But Victor's motive was revenge on the people that took his family from him. Darcy had nothing to do with it.
