How did Victor escape being killed originally?
Forgive me if I missed something, but do we know how Victor managed to escape being killed by the Albanians? Not only that, but appear apparently unscathed a few months later in Alphonse's crew.

my sources tell me, they shot him, but the bullet just missed his heart, and they thought he was dead, but he wasn't, he was just unconscious
