Has there ever been a good video game movie?

I think I've seen them all. None of them, including this one, was worth a flip. I'd like to see God of War on the big screen, but they'd probably mess it up too.

By ''good'' you mean an adaptation that's been acclaimed by fans as well as critics? Nope, can't say there's been one. I did enjoy the first Hitman movie, though (although the sequel was utter garbage). Mortal Kombat is a guilty pleasure of mine, too.

I actually didn;t hate this and found it to be 2/3's of a good movie. Really loved the stuff that went on in the past. The present was not as good but I thought the actors made it watchable.

After i saw the plot for the new tomb raider movie,i'm 90% sure that this will be another messed up movie.Those who played the game know what i mean.

I've played every Lara Croft game. I haven't heard anything about the plot. IMO, the Jolie movies were bad. I'm hoping they get this right.

I know all about the plot,TylerAArse.It's supposed to be after the 2013 reboot game,but they'll ruin this movie.

I always like the first Mortal Kombat.

Resident Evil and Silent Hill for live action.

Dead Space and Mass Effect are animated.

Final Fantasy is cgi.

I just wanted to mention Gantz: O as an excellent cgi flick.

I would say Dead Space and Mass Effect are mediocre, not good.

As far as gaming related flicks go, do check out eXistenz. Not based on a game, but has a premise of one.

The Lego Movie was pretty good. It was kind of based on the Lego video games.

You are going to laugh of course but i really enjoyed DOA: Dead of Alive. Its a comedy that actually works very well.
