I think their arguments were spot on. These are the kind of arguments that would happen in a scenario like this. Sam was frantic, Nate was reasonable. I would say I would react pretty much the same as Sam because by the time the police had bothered their arses to move who knows what would've happened to the girl. I would be frantic too and do the same, irrational yes but waiting for the police, forget it.

I agree with you. The couple, although annoying, was eerily accurate. Two friends trapped in s bad situation would act very much like that. Their arguing creates most of the tension in this largely misunderstood. And the trope about the cops never showing up is a tried-and-true horror film formula, well used here - and accurate as well! When it comes to encountering Evil, we are always on our own. Good job!
