Worst episode (dog episode)

If I read the credits properly, this one was written by a writing vet... yet it was one of the worst episodes of any television show I've ever seen. Suddenly our main characters have a dog. Okay... they've never expressed interest in owning a pet before, and I have difficultly believing the fem-est one (can't remember his name) would be okay with dog hair everywhere on his clothes, but whatever.

Then the dog dies. And they're completely devastated like it was a relative. Just how long are we expected to believe they had this dog for? It seemed like a matter of days. Maybe the episode was super time-compressed and they never clued us in on that aspect, but still... they're THAT devastated over such a new pet? I don't buy it.

And don't EVEN get me talking about the dumb confessional scene. Ugh.

And now Goldie's ex has a sudden 180? For no good reason? Absurdly contrived. Seriously, was the credit wrong? Was this actually written by an intern or something?

Also, where the heck is Nana? And what happened to her? She used to be the most humorous character on the show, but they're completely neutered her and shoved her under the rug.

They've had a dog all along. Actually, 2, a grown up dog and a puppy.

Dude, they practically introduced their DOGS (as the above poster said, they had two) from the first minutes of the first episode of the series. Have you not been paying attention, or what?

Oh yeah, and I cried like a baby after losing a cat I'd only had for a year. Attachments to pets can happen quickly. :(

Other than that, I agree it was a lousy episode... and I fast-forwarded through the ending, since I blubber too much over animals.

Have you ever owned a pet in your life? Cuz you'd understand the loss of a pet, no matter how long you've had it for if you ever had one... they are as good as relatives... just because they aren't human doesn't cheapen their value as a member of the family at all...

RED! The blood of angry men
BLACK! The dark of ages past!

Let me put it this way: your house is on fire and you can only save either 1) your four year old girl or 2) a dog you just bought last week...

There isn't a single person who would say dog. In fact, even if you had the dog longer than your 4 year old girl, there isn't a single person in the world who would say dog. To insist that pets are exactly the same level as family is absurd.

This was a weaker episode I agree. Still love the show though.
