Their whole big plan was to get all the DNA he had of them from his fridge so he couldn't re-upload them into the game ever again. Now they didn't count on him getting stuck inside the game from the beginning, so their original plan was just to steal the DNA from his fridge and kill themselves.
I just found it funny not one of them brought up the fact that he could just get their DNA again anytime he wanted.
Maybe they had a plan to 'take care of him' in the real world so he could not do it again?
and if was able to do it again would they be the same characters with the same memories?
I think they knew if he done it again it would be new copies with no memories of the old copies, they just didn't want another version of themselves going through what they did. But i don't think they ever had a plan to kill him in the real world, their plan was to get the DNA from his fridge then enter the wormhole and die.
Cause as soon as they got confirmation she had the DNA in the real world they headed toward the wormhole to die.
I just find it odd none of them even thought that he could just get new DNA anytime he wanted.

I think they were confident that even if he could get their DNA again (since he worked with them), he wouldn't be able to get the one guy's son's DNA again.
