"No, i hate good looking men with lot's of money..."

This is going to come off very sexist, and I'm probably starting a fight here.

First off. I don't hate the show at all. It has a good cast and is well written. It's even funny sometimes. My issue with the show is the female characters.

Gabi is a manipulative gold digger that has been stringing her boss along for the show's run. She's broken up several relationships with her meddling, just to turn him down once she has him interested in her again. He even bought her a car, a second business, and sent her on an expensive vacation after she ruined one of his relationships. Then she has the nerve to be mad at him for holding back his feelings. She constantly snubs him, but when things don't go her way she runs back to him for money and a hug.

Gabi is the worst, but Sophia is bad too. While the actress is funny, the character wants nothing to do with men who don't make tons of money and can't buy her stuff. Some guy likes her, but has to hide the fact that he works as a mascot so she'll pay attention to him. A successful man wouldn't have a problem with a woman working at a gym, but a rich woman would have nothing to do with a guy working there.

Again, I like Emily Osment and Amie Correro. But I hate this aspect of the female characters, and the way men are treated on this show in general.

I totally agree with you on Gabi, her character is charming to begin with but as the seasons have dragged on I've found her behavior unappealing. She's not just a gold digger but she's extremely wishy washy to me. Will this girl ever stick to one decision about Josh? Frustrating, very frustrating. I said in another post that I don't think Josh has commitment issues in general, he has commitment issues with Gabi because she's such a flip flopped. Who wouldn't ? As for Sophia she doesn't bother me as much but I guess you're right about the job thing (whether or not a man or a woman worked at the gym).

I'm not caught up, I've only seen 2 seasons so far, but I don't really think her meddling is in line with stringing him along. Until he told her I really don't think she had any idea there was anything else going on and genuinely tried to help his relationships...she gave the blanket to Caroline, encouraged him to meet the woman's son, tried to get him points by reuniting the mother-daughter; the time that was iffy was with the girl tha cooked and only because her job was threatened. I'll probably be disliked for this comment but her character reminds me of Lucy Ricardo...well-meaning and charming but all efforts go horribly wrong. (This is NOT to say that this show can stand up to I Love Lucy in any form, it is ONLY a character comparison).

I don't honestly think she's a gold digger though, she was angry when she got a nicer car, tried to turn down the cell phone because she already had one, and while she might be dazzled by the money I don't think it seems like she makes her decisions by it or she would have been with josh instead of going to Switzerland.
