I felt like they were alluding to her daughter being fathered by Quentin. Especially at the end when she was comforting him. Who was Shelby divorced from anyway? Maybe it will come to light in part 3.

shareI disagree ... would be to cliche. Think that scene at funeral just showcases how different Kennedy is from her mother (who puts up a front a lot). Kennedy has a caring heart and saw Quentin didn't have anyone around him to soothe his pain.
