Shelby's Daughter

I felt like they were alluding to her daughter being fathered by Quentin. Especially at the end when she was comforting him. Who was Shelby divorced from anyway? Maybe it will come to light in part 3.

reply

I thought the same thing. I thought for sure Shelby would tell Q he was her dad. We'll see in part 3.

reply

I'm glad they didn't. The movie was predictable enough. Cheeez

reply

I think that Quentin will be marrying someone else and then the truth will come out Shelby's daughter is his and this will ruin his coming nuptuals.

reply

it's doubtful..they slept together once 15 years ago and all got back together for this reunion and doubt they've seen each other inbetween

reply

I'm not too sure... after the funeral, when Shelby and Q were in bed together, she said 'we have to stop doing this'. That's not something she would say if it was only their second time having sex.

reply

They did say "we gotta stop doing this" implying that there were more than just one occassions.

reply

True, very true...if the writes want they can just briefly mention they had a encounter 7 years ago for just that one time. Well see what will haappen but i yhink its very plausible.

reply

I always wondered if that was Quentin and Shelby's love child, I believe she is. During the funeral scene she went and comforted him while he was crying. I believe that Quentin and Shelby seen each other throughout the years, that's how the girl was conceived. Yes, we will find out in part 3.

reply

Shelby and Q were pretty light skinned to have a darker skinned daughter like the one shown. Im just sayin.

reply

What does skin tone have to do with it? You can't be black if you've never seen kids of different shades within the same family of natural parents.

reply

Really? It never even crossed my mind that Shelby's daughter was Quentin's.

reply

I think it would make sense that Kennedy was Quentin's daughter since I think during the funeral scene there seemed to be a connection,,

reply

I disagree ... would be to cliche. Think that scene at funeral just showcases how different Kennedy is from her mother (who puts up a front a lot). Kennedy has a caring heart and saw Quentin didn't have anyone around him to soothe his pain.
