Question about the Kylie scene
Is this Oscars "real" life or another assignment?.. I thought the discussions with Oscar were "real" but the following events with the other guy were her assignment, ie, the roof scene.. Is this correct??

sharePretty sure everything is an act including the kylie scene, a kind of meta-act. I thought it was pretty obvious, not just because it makes sense with the film as a whole but the way they burst into song - it was the 'Musical' genre scene.
shareI think the meeting was an "appointment" for Jean but not for Oscar. After Oscar leaves, she removes her short blond wig to reveal long brown hair for the next guy... meaning the short blond wig had been put on for Oscar's benefit.
shareI believe it's not an assignment because right before it the driver says you have one more appointment and after the scene with Jean, the driver again says let's go to your last appointmentm of thenday. This leads me to think that the scne you are referring to is not an assignment. They seem to have been personally involved once. The woman Jean also works in the business and has an assignment as an airline stewardess meeting a guy but before meeting the guy I believe really kills herself due to disillusionment with it all.Oscar freaks out with seeing her dead body splashed on the sidewalk and jumps in the car and takes off.

I would like the scene to be real and Oscar to have a backstory where he had a child and lost it, at least I think that is what Kylie was singing about.
