Does it have a proper ending?

Please, no spoilers.

I always view the show marathon-style when it comes to DVD and have yet to see season 3 although I bought it last night.

I know the show is unrealistic but it's fun and additive.

Any way, since the show was cancelled in season 3 I wondered if they had time to write an ending or if it ended with the intention of having a season 4 (a cliffhanger).

Thanks!

Saw half of season 1 when it aired a couple of years back and have now in the last month marathon watched the rest and enjoyed it how unrealistic and angry you even get about how stupid FBI are in the show. I would say it has a proper ending and one that make sense.

I disagree, I do not think it has a proper ending. I just finished it yesterday and I so wish it'd come back for another season.

Yes, it does.

I just finished it. It concludes well enough but I couldn't help but feel the show never took a deep enough stance on anything that happened in the 45 episodes. Ryan showed he will never be done chasing after the villains, as that point was driven home often enough in this last season. But there were no great philosophical or emotional reconciliations for all the senseless violence and pain the villains caused over the course of the show. So many lives lost and families ruined and in the end it all felt for naught. No one was given closure or a sense of solace. And I'm speaking even about the families of all the various murdered people over the entire show, including random characters. They all seemed like they died for nothing.
