Comic into a netflix original movie?

With as short as the comic series was and the twist and turns of events I could see them being able to turn this short conclusion of a comic into a movie that would run about an hour or two.
It wouldn't be hard to get the actors and actresses back together again and the comic is really simple in explaining what has happened. I don't see why they couldn't have used this to conclude the series on television.
Would anyone agree with that?
Also would it be possible to get Netflix or hulu to make a movie like this to give a closure to its fans.

"It wouldn't be hard to get the actors and actresses back together again..."

Much (much) harder than you're thinking. REVOLUTION likely had a contractual obligation to include a specific number of cast members (the 4-5 who're designated the "key elements,") before any & all future projects are even given budgetary consideration.
And Billy Burke is prob working away on some new gig -- hypothetically -- an ABC series. He's currently bound contractually to the ABC Production...so, even if his new boss / Show-Runner happened to be crazy enough to accommodate another show (on another network) and he free'd-up Billy's schedule to go work on the REV revival, Burke wouldn't be able to. He'd likely violate his contract with the new ABC show by working on another Production. The same is true if he's on a WB (or FOX or Universal) film -- similar restrictions are in place to protect the studio).
