I liked Keanu in the original movie

There was a chemistry between him and Patrickthao made it special. Heck even Gary had not become totally crazy at this point. Keanu is not a great dramatic actor but he is a great action hero type. Far better than Sly and Arnold were in their prime. If you see Keanu in "John Wick" you would appreciate how much he has improved over the years.Keanu will never be able to pull off dramatic roles but he did very well in JW and put in a lot of work getting the gun stuff right. He also handled the scenes where had to deal with the tragic events that made him revert to his old ways. What I like most about him is he is a down to earth type guy that does not have the typical Hollywood A-HOLE attitude of my poo don't stink.

The first one had a charm about it. The ancillary cast in the first was better than this one. The remake takes itself too seriously while the first did not. Also the earlier film had Busey for relief.

Keanu Reeves 1991 version is a classic.

I can't think of any movies where I didnt like Keanu. He has a very wooden acting style, but I don't mind it.

You might like him in The Neon Demon if you havent seen that movie. Its a fairly recent movie. His role is pretty small, but I think it was well done.
