I think so. I think people who think the original is way better are just people blinded by nostalgia

No. The original was quite good, not amazing... This was quite bad. The main problem is that ideas that were fresh and amusing the first time are rehashed here and while there is more plot, it's all wrapped around the old ideas and none of it feels anything but recycled.

Yep a huge problem was that the movie just wasn’t fresh at all - I’ve seen beetlejuice do all this before and I knew this film would have this problem ..

This sequel just had none of the charm of the original

No. This one had it's moments, but it's hard to ignore how poorly written it is.

Yeah, pretty much nailed it. It's nice to see Winona and Keaton back but it's just a mess and not in a good way like the original film.

I haven't seen it but it's funny how you talk about nostalgia when that's the only thing the positive reviews have been about it.

It's basically been "There's too much going on plotwise but it's great to see Keaton back".

No, people who prefer the original can just see that the original is more coherent and more enjoyable.

People who think this slop is better than the original are just blinded by the Soul Train scene having "Muh, diversity."
