I love Caity Lotz from Mad Men, this movie has some great creepiness factor. I know when a horror movie is good because it reaches a point where I have to pause the movie and go find my cat and make him stay with me while I watch the rest of it.

The supernatural element is very good, but it's Caity's acting that carries the film.

Not sure about that ending, it was weak, they could have ended it with mom looking on or something and leave I a bit ethereal and supernatural, but the end they choose was goofy and contrived.

I would have rated this a 7 if they could have just ended it well, but that stupid ending really hurts the taste in your mouth at the end of the movie.

I have to agree. I gave it a 6 because of the ending.

It was a fun ride through the movie, but the ending was a bit..I wouldn't say contrived, just not in line with the rest of the movie.

watched it last night and had to turn the lights back on a few times!.... definitely a very creepy movie...with some true scary moments! The ending did not bother me all that much, I have seen much worse!

The Man who lived in that hidden Room was the Brother of her Mother.

1. For how long was he hiding in this room?
2. Did her Mother know about that?

I assumed that he had been hiding out there for years, since they were kids. Maybe not continuously, but perhaps regularly to hide from the police? I also assumed the mother was in on it, and that she had set the whole thing up to protect him. She clearly was abusive herself, so she probably let him kill whoever he wanted and allowed him access to that room to go into hiding.

I don't understand what ending you guys mean -- are you talking about just the eye at the end? If so it didn't bother me at all, it wasn't like they were implying he was back from the dead or anything, it was just a nightmare to show us how traumatised she is.
