Curious about the budget for this one!

I was impressed with this first film from Nicholas McCarthy. It's got a classic vibe and classic genre elements but so well used, IMO! I love the pacing of the movie, the cinematography is right on target. Music, editing... everything is well done. For the most part, McCarthy also got decent performances out of his actors although nobody can turn Van Dien into something worth watching.

Pretty much the only element that left to be desired were some of the dialogs. For instance, the scene where Annie is being interrogated by Creek could have been better done.

I'm curious about the budget for this one and I am also wondering if McCarthy has other projects he is working on as a writer and director. I am most definitely going to keep an eye on him!

The director mentions the budget in his commentary on the Blu-ray. I think he said $400,000 or maybe $470,000. I know it was at least $400,000 and less than $500,000.

That's pretty damn cheap. Indie filmmaking at its most economical.
