Is Judas alive or a Ghost? (spoilers)

I ask this as it seems to have popped up a few times here and it is bugging me too. I am watching it now for the 2nd time on netflix and I cannot decide either way now.

If you watch from 58:30 - the scene is the camera on the floor and it appears Judas walks past but he is only visible on the actual camera and not seen for real in the background.

The question is - it appears to be Judas - but is it? If not then who?

If it is Judas then he must be a ghost as to only appear on the camera right?

BUT if was a ghost then how were the bodies explained in the house at the end - the yellow tape was around the house indicating a crime scene so who was responsible if he was aghost?

and now we know PACT 2 is in production - what the???????

reply

No, Judas was NOT a ghost. That's what made the movie so frightening.

Anyone thinking he is a ghost is over thinking it.

Also, that part with the camera would have been a different angle than what you could see outside of the camera.

I have an explanation ... Poor story. I was bored to death.

That looked more like a woman because of the billowy bottom that looked like a dress.

Judas was DEFINITELY human. The camera part was most likely glick's ghost.
The ghost was not the mother, she was just a victim.
Judas had an incestuous relationship with her sister and the mother probably locked him up bcoz of his killing spree.
Annie is shown to have flashbacks of seeing Judas crying, which implies he used to live with them when they were kids.
Also, the last shot was Annie's nightmare.
