Im sure I could make some vague allusions to what the "pact" in the movie was but it really didnt supply us with a very solid reason why it was called this! Did I miss something?
Great flick regardless. I totally would have cast an unknown in the role of the Detective though. CVD is too well known for such a small part in such a small movie. Im not saying he is too good for the movie, but I am saying that the movie could have had a much better actor for a fraction of the cost!
Yeah I think the title was implied by the pact between sister and brother. Also, I think he did more than kill her friend, seemed of raped her too and I was wondering if maybe he raped his sister too and made her pregnant but that might be a overthinking it but I don't know. Creepy film, I enjoyed it especially when he came from the floor that was a bit unsettling haha.
I believe the mother was a part of the murders, maybe not carrying out the murders but grooming the women for her brother to kill. This was part of the pact as well as her keeping him below the house.
The underlying feelings of repression, flashbacks of a man crying, the 'Moors Murders' focused on the serial killer website indicate that the mother was more involved and more evil than just knowing about it, she was part of it.
2. The ghost/spirit was not the mother but a woman from the church who was friends with the mother. She was just wanting the mystery of her death solved and not trying to hurt anyone. Actually she was warning people to let them know when the uncle/killer was about to come up from his hole in the floor.
I'm in a hurry and din't read the posts, so i'm prob just reiterating what somebody else said, but "the pact" is.....
The agreement between the mom and her brother. Mom's part of the deal is to house him in her house and protect him from being caught. His part is to not kill or molest the daughters.
Or am I wrong??
Forgive if already laid out like that, but that is what I realized.
