They're trying to force EVERYONE on FACEBOOK!

All this stuff like "IMDB is no longer providing a positive, useful experience for the vast majority of our more than 250 million monthly users worldwide" is rubbish.

Closing these boards is all about censorship and trying to link everyone up with Facecrap so the powers that be can spy on everyone even more. these boards are probably more popular now than they've ever been but for some bizarre reason they want to shut it down [maybe they've got some deal with Mark Zuckerburg].

Well don't do it .....look for other film sites. Avoid Facecrap!

I've been happy with IMDB since I registered in Feb 2001, after I'd been using it for a while. I use FB, but I've never found it to be useful or functional. Their rollout of software changes is an abomination. Their model for "social networking" is nothing more than a giant advertising structure.

Well right now I'm here to marvel at your complete misunderstanding of the word 'hypocrite'.

Sometimes I'm here to discuss movies.

Othertimes I'm here to be astounded at some of the vitriol being thrown around.

Now that I've cleared that up, and you've thoroughly proven my point about what a cesspool these forums can be:

someone who says they have particular moral beliefs but behaves in way that shows these are not sincere:

He's a hypocrite - he's always lecturing other people on the environment but he drives around in a huge car.
