The poster with the girl automatically makes me want to see this

Absolutely, and I imagine that was their goal - to gain audiences just from the poster! However, after seeing the movie, even though this is a scene featured in the movie, the poster doesn't prepare you for what you'll be seeing. It's still a nice poster, however.

For me, it made me not want to see it because I thought it would be some cheap, hollow movie about music and sex. It turned out to be much more than that.

I agree. I was expecting a totally different kind of movie (a road movie). That "hottie" really caught my attention.
