this movie made me think of 'God Bless America'. I actually forgot the name but thanks to google and my vague description of the plot....

if you're looking for something similar (imho better) then try 'God Bless America'. It has a similar darkness and theme to it - although the protagonists' development is more involved and the plot had a bit more of a driven direction to it than 'sightseers' meandering.

Completely agree, god bless America was funnier but this was darker. I suppose they are both reflective of each country .... Our crazy is wound up by litter and smugness, theirs by rudeness.

Alhough I prefer GBA which I laughed out loud so many times, I think SS was written / directed better with much more subtlety. Even down to her mum with all the takeaway boxes on her bed, loads of nice touches.

Been shouting from the rooftops about GBA here in the UK.
