OMG - a good film

The mid-budget thriller with a great cast is a dead genre, which sucks because it’s one of the best genres out there.

This is more of a drama-thriller, it feels like a late Clint Eastwood movie.

Michael Keaton directs a brilliant character-driven piece about a hitman with rapid onset dementia who needs to tie up some loose ends.

Al fucking Pacino is in a supporting role and nails it, of course, and James Marsden is very good. Keaton smashes it as usual.

I can’t believe a decent, proper piece of narrative cinema was created in 2024.

Support this film if you can, we need more of these 🍻

I just finished it and wrote a review somewhere else basically saying the same thing. It felt like I was watching a 2000-2010's Clint Eastwood-directed movie.

Mardsen really showed me something here, especially in the diner scene. I didn't know he had it in him. Pacino embraced his age and was a lot of fun to watch.

I think what happened was people thought it was Keaton doing a Liam Neeson, cashing in a paycheck kind of role. I initially skipped it for a few weeks until a buddy recommended it.
