Amy was such a wasted character
I mean come on it didn't even show her audition on the casting couch to get invited there...

shareHah nice one.
shareI take it you liked Amy.....
What about Linda? We missed her couch audition as well!
The real wasted character was the doctor and his anticlimactic "rescue".
Actually, he was just a big waste of time.
Yep. That whole rescue by the good doctor was an epic fail. He didn't even have the sense to be careful. He just shows up, tells Iris that he is going to get her outta there, was wrong about her, etc. and BOOM!
shareCan't understand why the doctor's concern was even added. He was obviously a big winner in a previous game/contest. He knew what the stakes were.
If his big rescue mission was an attempt to give the audience hope, it failed miserably even before he was shot.
True. Maybe he had the hots for Iris? He knows how the game is played. Why the sudden concern for Iris, like you asked.
shareExactly.
Oh well, in spite of it, the movie wasn't half bad. I enjoyed it. It wasn't your typical horror flick.
It was a psychological horror flick. We didn't see a devil, a demon, a witch, a vampire, a person with an ax, knife, or chainsaw. We just saw a group of humans doing quite diabolical things to other humans, which is common horror movie out there. It is real life, and not farfetched. It happens.
shareThat's the very thing I liked about it!
shareI believe the use of his character was movie misdirection, setting the audience up to feel like they know what’s coming, a hero rescue, etc etc, and then no, it’s not. Basically a plot twist.
