Abby used the girls to commit her crime

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/prosecutor-dance-moms-star-abby-lee-miller-should-be-imprisoned-for-fraud/

"Miller pleaded guilty in June to purposely hiding her income in financial disclosure statements filed with the bankruptcy court starting in 2012. People who file Chapter 11 must honestly disclose their assets so the creditors can fairly assess whether to approve any court-approved repayment plan."

"But Miller repeatedly hid her true income - as well as contracts for future income from her TV shows - until her channel-surfing bankruptcy judge saw her on TV and concluded Miller must be making far more than the $8,899 in monthly income she initially declared."

"Wahlquist testified Miller earned $8,000 to $25,000 per episode as her popularity exploded, and deposited money in nonapproved bank accounts to hide assets."

"Miller eventually coughed up $288,000 in TV income she’d received. Federal investigators later determined she had hidden nearly $550,000 more from personal appearances, dance sessions and merchandise sales."

"Miller made a major concession on an unrelated charge that she also pleaded guilty to in June, sneaking $120,000 in foreign currency into the country from Australia in 2014."

"Miller agreed to forfeit that money, which she previously sought to avoid. In return, prosecutors won’t ask the judge to enhance Miller’s sentence for using children to help in that scheme."

"Prosecutors can’t comment on that and haven’t named the children. They have said in court documents that Miller divvied up money and hid it in the luggage of others in her party to avoid a federal law requiring people to report bringing more than $10,000 in foreign currency into the country."

Scum.

Damn, it's getting harder to feel sorry for her. If it comes out that any of the mothers knew about and/or allowed her to use their kids (I'd bet on Melissa for sure and maybe Jill), then I really hope everyone involved gets the book thrown at them.

-I wonder if you can refuse to inherit the world.
-I think if you're born, it's too late.

Didn't she threaten the mom's in particular Melissa about bringing them down with her? I thought she did in one of the episodes last season.

What I remember is the other way around. One particular time Kenzie was being mistreated in practice, Melissa made a veiled threat in front of the other moms that Abby shouldn't mess with her because, "I know SO much."

Not sure what exactly she knows, but if it involves this there's a high chance she's an accessory to the crime.

I looked it up because I couldn't remember the specifics and in the episode Melissa vs Abby Melissa did threaten Abby earlier in the episode but episode summaries said the following happened at the end of the episode...

"Dance mom Jill brought the legal drama back up because the dance moms totally want Abby to know she?s not facing this alone, and Abby made some sort of threat about how they might be right in it with her? The moms didn?t care for that. There was gossiping in the hallway."

Yea Melissa threatened Abby and I would not be surprised if she knows a lot. Remember Melissa's husband bailed Abby out with the studio before. Melissa worked for her. I'm sure that family was worried about this trial. Abby threatened the moms in another episode about how they would all go down with her. Now the only ones I think are safe from that are Nia's family and Jojo because they were on "separate" trips and didn't travel with the others.

Lord. She should not be around children anymore. She is beyond terrible

An yet the TV network is going to continue to air the show instead of pulling it. It amazes me that reality stars can do despicable things and the networks still air there shows.

All about the bottom line in America sadly

I actually thought that Abbey had just tried to hide assets on her tax returns. Wow! She is going to the big house for this!
