I went back and rewatched old episodes and it made me sad

Not because I got nostalgic for the original girls, but because I missed how there used to be more variety, not just 1. Pyramid, 2. Moms arguing watching practice, 3. Moms arguing at competition dressing room, 4. Solos/Group dance, 5. Awards, 6. Moms arguing back in the dressing room.

- Maddie and Brooke were in a competition where there was a speaking portion and they were dressed in evening gowns, similar to a pageant.
- Kendall performed at the halftime show of the Harlem Globetrotters.
- Brooke went out on dates (however scripted) and the camera followed them.
- The cameras sometimes followed them inside their homes.
- Abby held a bbq and pool party at her house in Florida.
- The events were packed full of people, like at normal dance competitions.
- The costumes were pretty and had a theme without needing to resort to upcoming movies or recently dead celebrities.

im actually right in the middle of watching all the old episodes. im at season 5 episode 2 now.

its fun watching the old episodes.

I forget when they move to LA but the quality really takes a nosedive from that point on.

After season 4, maybe somewhere around mid-season 5, the show just starting losing some of it's appeal.
I was a "closet" watcher from the first episode. Then during season 2, I would actually admit that I was a diehard fan. I watched every week and bought the seasons from Amazon when they had a sale (avg $10/season) price every year.
Then season 5 started and I no longer watched every week. I would see bits and pieces but never watched an episode from being to end. I kept them in my dvr for weeks and weeks until I got around to watching an episode or two.
Season 6 started and I hadn't even seen all of season 5 episodes yet. I owned it by then, just hadn't watched. Muddled my way through S6 the same way.
Once S7 started and the rumors were that S7E13 was the finale, I started watching every week again just because I thought it was ending.
Now the rumors are that there will be a S8?!? S7 only has 13 episodes? I have mixed feelings about this show going on much longer. A lot of mixed feelings. And now that this site is closing.....no need to express them any more......
