Surprised no sequel had been made yet

I thought it was a decent horror flick for a low budget movie. With years it had grown on me. At first I even didn’t wanna see it, but later on I loved it. It’s got this amazing setting, very eerie.

So why no sequel? It wasn’t a box office bomb, it even made some money back. And I had a good feeling that there would be a sequel coming inevitably at some point, but nothing so far sadly, that’s kinda surprising. The ending of the movie was just screaming and begging for the sequel.

Someone should step up and give it a better budget this time, give more monsters, something more grotesque and myaterious ala Annihilation or make it more S.T.A.L.K.E.R-like vibe and it will be a major hit.
