What did you like about this movie?

I'm no troll and don't ever bash movies, but I did not find this movie the be very entertaining. The build up was great but I felt kind of let down by the mutants. A few things that bothered me:

1)Was Yuri attacked by dogs or mutants? The mutants didn't seem very fast or like they had sharp teeth or claws to injury the little brother that way. They had small, deformed mouths with buck teeth.

2)Did the mutants just like to grab you up? It just seemed like they grabbed you and held you down or something. How did Natalie escape the first time uninjured? Doesn't seem like they were biting. Like when Amanda and the main guy were fighting the mutants. Terrible scene. The mutants were just jumping up and down on them like the flying monkeys from Oz. Then they were defeated easily. That's outside the fact that there were a dozen mutants advancing on them but only seemed like 2 that jumped on them and fought them. Also, at the very end it just look like the mutants just want hugs.

3)The mutant makeup was awful and cheesy.

4)Did the mutants have super strength? It looked like the Hulk destroyed that van.

I would like to know what everyone else liked or disliked about the movie. I'm not here to bash it. I like to discuss movies.

Note: I did not have time to proofread this

Mutant make up was cheesy?
You couldn't make anything out at all to judge that!

I could in some scenes. Like with that mutant baby that chased them. Also the ending scene when they all grabbed her. Actually, you could see their faces when they grabbed every character during the final chase scenes. They looked like that guy from the Goonies, but the Goonies guy had a better make up job.

Don't ever compare Sloth to a cannibal mutant, Sloth wouldn't hurt a fly.

The atmosphere by far. I would love to visit that place. Creepy as hell.

The sense of dread that increased by the minute as the movie went on.
So much I kept thinking "they're all doomed, this won't end well".
A sequence near the end, when the last ones standing keep going down the basement's stairs while escaping the mutants... OMFG. Claustrophobic and bone-chilling, also because it seemed to last an eternity. That one and the ending will stick with me for a looong time.

More aspects I liked: the characters were likeable, the super creepy abandoned places, and (thank God) it wasn't shot as a found footage crapfest.

🐺 Boycott movies that involve real animal violence (& their directors) 🐾

I agree. It was a horror movie that wasn't terrible with a few loud-music jump scares like most of them today. It actually built tension and atmosphere.

I liked the story completely which was different compared to a lot of FF movies that tend to diverge into other areas.
