Am I the only one who thought this book was awful?

I felt nothing while reading this book...I hardly remember anything that happened in it. I do remember a ridiculous cliche airport scene at the end. THAT being said, I'm actually excited about this movie because of JJ Field and Bret McKenzie! lol. Jane Seymour will be awesome too...although I do not at all remember who her character is.

I am not picky in my reading material. I love Jane Austen and takes on her heroes but I can do just as well with a trashy Harlequin Blaze...which aren't exactly renowned for their high quality.

This title had many positive reviews that I started to wonder if it was just me. I hated the book. It was terrible, cliched, the heroine was detestable and borderline crazy, they barley spent anytime together and you didn't even really buy their romance.

Then it had the nerve to have a sequel...which I also read and it was actually a little better.

Hopefully the movie will be better.

Walt Miller. Am I right?

I thought the book was okay... I too was surprised she made a second. I loved the second one. I thought it had way more substance than the first and was a lot more interesting.

Yeah the book was by no means a Pulitzer Prize winner, but it was light and sweet and had a nice idea.
I actually LOVED the movie. Bret and JJ were wonderful, Jane is actually slightly crazier than in the book but I still found myself rooting for her. They added a few little gimmicks to the plot and kind of smoothed over what I thought were a few kinks in the book. Overall, if you go into it expecting nothing more than a fun, light, and somewhat predictable romcom, I think you'll be pleased.

Yeah they call me the Hiphopopotamus, my lyrics are bottomless..............

Which is how I viewed it before I saw it and why I liked it after. It was interesting and fun.
