Man with I heart Darcy bag at the airport

During the airport fight scene at the end, why did a man in line have a I heart Darcy bag? I think he might have been a servant. Was he a paying guest? I assumed all the servants were actors too.

reply

I think that bag might be a semi-common British tourist souvenir.
I saw that guy too, and wondered why he was in there. I don't recall seeing him anywhere in the film before.
I was wondering if he wasn't connected to the production, and that was a sweet little cameo.

That guy with the IloveDary bag could be seen at the party where the servants and "the taxidermist" had to play party guest. He is seen dancing with a lady, making a funny face. He could be a paying guest or he could have been an employee/actor who also likes Jane Austen/Mr. Darcy.

I noticed that too! It was hard not to see. Seems like a huge production mistake. Whoever was in charge of wardrobe goofed big time.

Just watched the DVD commentary...I guess the man was a paying guest for a day. Even though I didn't really catch it during the movie, the commentary mentioned that some women who didn't want to pay for a whole package could pay to attend the ball only and grope the handsome actors. The man with the I Heart Darcy bag was also a big regency fan and paid to attend the ball and dance with the maid/actress he liked.

I noticed him right away in the airport scene... although trying to focus my attention on Mr. Nobley, I sometimes miss other details.

That same man is also in the scene, at the beginning..in the background, when Jane and Miss Charming meet and are waiting to be picked up.... lol... so he must have been waiting to go there too...but is he a guest or actor (an extra)..

He's also on the dance floor at the ball. You see him after Miss Elizabeth Charming says: "Even Prudence is getting some."

Miss Elizabeth Charming:
I didn't think I was touching you inappropriately.

Colonel Andrews:
Well, you did. And if we're to be together, you must never ever do anything like that ever again, if we're to be together.

Miss Elizabeth Charming:
Even Prudence is getting some.

That is a great picture of the 3 ladies ...with that man in the background...

Its not clear at that point,to the audience, who that woman is ... but Miss Charming must recognize her the instant she is introduced by Mrs. W. .. by her reaction to her...
but again, that its not known to the audience...
