Such a cute movie!
If you're in the mood for a romantic comedy this one is great. A little far fetched and will probably piss off uptight Jane Austen fans but who cares! They should lighten up any way.

I'm actually a huge Jane Austen fan and I loved this movie (guess I'm not uptight) ... it was funny and touching and romantic without being too sappy.
shareI have been a Jane Austen fan forever, and I loved this movie as well. Let's face it, haven't we all imagined ourselves in Elizabeth Bennet's shoes now and then? This film captured the plight of the hopeless romantic having her wish finally come true and finding it to be not what she expected. But, thank goodness, the unexpected happened! Austenland was 'charming' to us, the 'erstwhile's of the world!
shareI'm a huge Austen fan, and I love this movie! I saw it for the first time a week ago, and I'm currently watching it for the third time! It's like a combination of Pride and Prejudice mixed with Sweet Home Alabama, and I'm a dork so I think that's awesome!
shareI'm not a huge Austen fan, but I seem to just love movies revolving around her. I thought this was such a fun little chick flick. Predictable, sure, but enjoyable. 8/10.
Also Coolidge is hilarious.
I'm not as Austen fan at all. I'm a guy and it's just not my cup of tea. But this is a fun, charming movie and it made me laugh a lot. I honestly thought I'd hate this movie, but it won me over.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable farce, and legitimately well done since we come to feel for the characters--good acting, good writing. A perfect cream puff in my book, which is nothing to sneeze at. And the little video at the end was a completely appropriate cherry on top.
Austen's very funny. I doubt too many of her fans are uptight. Another one here who enjoyed it very much! It has some real cringe-y moments, especially in the beginning, but in the main it's a fun, frothy confection, like cotton candy. Adorable.
Spare the rod, spoil the child, incite a civil war.
To second ToHelen, Jane Austen was a funny, satirical writer. I think her fans all know this.
shareI enjoyed immensely..I had to watch it a few times before I was totally taken in..
I found it on STARZ on demand in July...and its still available..so am taking advantage..and watching.. such fun...so many subtle and not-so-subtle references to Jane Austen's work...not just Pride & Prejudice....and also, enjoyed a few Bridget Jones digs... lol ...
also knowing some of the actors that have appeared in past Austen productions..made it more fun...especially JJ Feild, who played Mr. Tilney, another Henry,
I also read that JJ wore some of the wardrobe (Top hat, black jacket, not sure which) that Colin Firth wore in the 1995 BBC P & P ... how wonderful is that?
I guess you can tell I really enjoyed this film...its just fun, and some great laughs along the way...
Well TALLY HO!
Huge Austen fan and totally loved this. It was sweet and funny and who wouldn't fall in love with Henry Nobley. I wish they made more films like this
