Very hard to do with a movie this bad.

I forced myself to watch the whole thing against my better judgement, partly because I prefer to watch a whole movie before passing judgement on it, and partly because I usually like to see if the movie maintains its level of incompetence or actually manages to overcome it. 'Pain & Gain' does not maintain its incompetence, it gradually raises it to the next level over the course of the whole film. It shows contempt for everyone involved in the movie, from the real people it was based on, to the actors in it, to the people watching it, like some sort of sick joke that only Michael Bay is in on. It's oddly perplexing, but not enough to be enjoyable.

So I'd recommend the opposite. If you're starting to feel like it's a bad movie within the first hour, you're right and your best option is to jump ship now rather than stick it out, because it's only going to get worse.

Hard to believe that some people just didn't get it. >Go watch a boring Woody Allen "Cafe Society"-it's nice and easy and boring.

Sometimes audiences and critics piss me off. If Martin Scorcese's name was on this movie, they'd go totally nuts for it the way they went for Wolf of Wall Street, which also featured heavy douchebaggery, sexism and foolishness. Granted, I'm not saying Michael Bay is as good a director as Scorcese or that I didn't enjoy WOWS, but Pain and Gain, to me, slightly edges WOWS out because for me, WOWS outstayed its welcome at a certain point
