I'm upset this movie was made.
Part 3 was great and ended off perfectly. Part 4 is good but it's completely unnecessary.

shareI've never really understood the complaint that a movie is unnecessary. Is any movie really necessary? Sure some movies are made for educational purposes, but most are made to entertain and ultimately to make money.
Was this movie necessary? Well, no, but neither were the other three. But I enjoyed all of them and so did my kids. So I'm happy they were made.
It's unnecessary because in Toy Story 3, they ended it perfectly by making full circle and ending the way the series began. If they knew there was a possibility of a 4th, why give it such a conclusive ending?
share"Unnecessary" is not the word I would choose, as most movies are unnecessary. Still, why do you care?
Many, many people watched this movie and enjoyed it. You weren't interested, and that's fine, but does that mean it shouldn't have been made?
The implication is that because you don't think it's "necessary," it shouldn't be made.
I liked it. But it just seemed like they went against what they were going for at the end of the third film. Maybe they should have given it a different title like "Woody & Buzz: A Toy Story Tale".
