This is pretty much an Avengers: Endgame
... for little kids.
shareHave you actually seen either movie?
shareI've seen both.
shareOk, I was just wondering because those two movies have literally nothing in common.
shareIt does. Both relies heavily on nostalgia values. Both ends with tear-jerking main character farewell scene. It was the same formula. The same mind tricks. Of course nobody is dying in Toy Story, they were never alive to begin with.
shareWell, almost half the movies in theaters are sequels or remakes and rely heavily on nostalgia, so I'm not sure that's a very strong point. Also, it's quite common for movies to invoke similar emotions.
Toy Story 4 was about friendship, loyalty and finding your place in this world when circumstances change and your previous role is no longer (think "empty nest").
Avengers Endgame was defeating an evil villain and have awesome powers! Sure there are friendships and teamwork, but it's really just about the awesome super powers.
Yeah, I still think they have very little in common.
