De Niro is washed up
He should stick to be a sour loser
shareI'll say. The man lost nearly all his credibility when he made Little Fockers...which he CAN be blamed for, because he was a producer too.
When comedians run out of funny, and get bitter, they try to be dramatic actors, and they usually suck, like Robin Williams. Then they hopefully commit suicide or retire.
When dramatic actors run out of pathos and have nothing left, they try to milk comedy or parody. Leslie Nielsen did a great job of that, but most of the time, like Arnold, Stallone, DeNiro, and many others, they suck.
DeNiro at this point is supporting several ex-wives and a new young one, and their kids, and seems to jump onto anything that will pay him. He is over 70, but I guess Viagra and money keep him getting laid, and that is like a drug, and he is like a junkie who needs to pay for his fix. So any crap movie will do, as long as the checks don't bounce.

DeNiro actually played a stand-up a long time ago in "The King of Comedy". Did a pretty decent job, too. He is perfectly suited for playing 'father-in-law' or 'retiree' roles, until he feels the urge to quit acting altogether.
shareYou feel the same about Clint Eastwood, Sylvester Stallone, or any of the other Trump supporters?
If we all liked the same movie, there'd only be one movie!
Well, considering Clint Eastwood actually has had major critical and commercial successes in recent years... not really a good comparison there.
shareDeniro is a liberal and in fact he has actually verbally attacked Trump{It is well documented}. Please get your facts straight.
shareThe poster also doesn't know that Clint Eastwood has been a phenomenally successful actor and director (American Sniper blew away box offices with a staggering $350 million gross in the USA). The most recent film he's been in that bombed was one he had nothing to do with creative-wise. I wouldn't turn down a large paycheck to take an easy part either; and let's be honest, few of us would refuse such an easy task if some waved a million bucks or so in our faces.
