I really hope they get an icon to play Stansfield. With the exception of Keaton, there are sure a lot of newer names in this cast. I'm sure they are not completely finished with casting but it says they are filming. I really hope the don't cut Stansfield out completely
shareI was wondering the same thing...are they cutting Stansfield out all together? That would be unfortunate. And if they are, will Irene Kennedy be the director of the CIA right from the start?
shareIf they make Irene the director from the start it defeats about 20 percent of the entire series. However since they decided to basically rewrite the story line for this first film what will it matter after that.
shareI know, other than having a character named Mitch Rapp who's an assassin, it doesn't sound like they are following the books storylines at all. I really liked Stansfield and the dynamic between He and Hurley and He and Irene. If they are planning on doing several movies, you would think that they would start with Stansfield and have Irene move up eventually to give some kind of movement through the sequels. Oh well.
